Each academic unit is reviewed approximately every 10 years. The scheduling of a unit's review can be amended only when the cognizant dean and the Vice Provost for Academic Planning agree that there is a confluence of exceptional circumstances warranting a change.
All fall 2020 site visits have been postponed and the schedule has shifted due to COVID-19.
A mid-cycle check-in takes place approximately five years after the issuance of the APR outcome letter. This is to document progress toward addressing issues identified during the most recent review as well as to inform administrative leaders regarding new issues and/or opportunities. This will demonstrate to the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) that the campus has instituted a continual cycle of assessment and improvement for the university’s degree programs.
