Timeline Overview

18–24 Months Prior to Site Visit

Unit Action Items:
- Kick-off meeting with VPAP & APR Director
- Planning meeting with APR staff support team (see: https://vpap.berkeley.edu/academic-program-reviews/apr-staff-support-team)
- Submit nominations for ERC & ASL
- Work with APR support team as needed to support self-study development

Other Participants Action Items:
- Recruit ERC & ASL
- Schedule site visit
- Complete OPA data summary report

2 Months Before Site Visit

Unit Action Items:
- Self-study report due


1 Month Before Site Visit

Unit Action Items:
- Finalize site visit schedule

Other Participants Action Items:
- PROC & Dean* review the self-study & OPA data summary reports
- ERC charge is prepared


ERC Site Visit (3 Days)
- Day 1, morning: PROC & Dean* Welcome Meeting
- Day 1, afternoon, and Day 2, all day: The unit under review hosts the ERC.
- Day 3: ERC & ASL complete reports
- Day 3 final meeting: PROC & Dean* Exit Interview

2 Months After Site Visit
Unit Action Items:
- Unit prepares a response (report) to ERC & ASL reports

Other Participants Action Items:
- All reports, including the Unit response are then sent to Academic Senate Committees on PROC, & L&S Executive Committee**
- Each committee prepares a report with suggested recommendations

6–12 Months After Site Visit
Other Participants Action Items:
- PROC & Dean* review all reports mentioned on this timeline
- Final PROC & Dean* Wrap-Up meeting is held
- Outcome Letter issued with recommendations

1–5 Years After Site Visit
Unit Action Items:
- Follow up on all recommendations listed in the outcome letter with specific due dates

5 Years After Site Visit
Unit Action Items:
- Mid-cycle check-in at Year 5 on overall progress
